5. Data Management: The following are a list of user requirements.

Parallel Data Transfer
- Within FusionGrid
- Supported by MDSplus
- Critical for interactive analysis during fusion experiments
- Required for shipping around large simulations
Schema for large scale simulations
- Local caching versus archiving
- Define how MDSplus and files (e.g. netCDF, HDF5) will work together. Moving large tree files can be used here as well.
- Define role of NERSC and TCF.
- Solutions most likely application dependent
