Demonstration Plans TTF & Sherwood 2002
The US Transport
Task Force (TTF) Meeting took place in Annapolis on April 3-6, 2002.
The Collaboratory held a demonstration of new Security and Remote Computing
capabilities at this meeting.
- As was done at SC01, a handout
was available for people to take with them and a
poster was presented to allow
more detailed discussions of the Collaboratory demonstration.

The Sherwood Theory Meeting
took place in Rochester on April 22-24, 2002.
Since these meetings targeted a different audience
in the U.S. fusion community the demonstrations at each
meeting where the same.
- As was done at SC01,
a Remote Computing handout
and a Visualization handout
were available for people to take with them and a
Remote Computing poster
and a Visualization poster were presented to allow
more detailed discussions of the Collaboratory demonstration.

- Demonstration Flow
- TRANSP running at PPPL invoked from IDL GUI on Show Floor Workstation
- TRANSP reads input data from MDSplus and SQL data servers (GA, MIT, PPPL)
- TRANSP writes output data to MDSplus and SQL data servers server (GA, MIT, PPPL)
- Secure MDSplus and SQL communication with authorization check
- Visualization on Show Floor including IDL based Multigraph application, job
monitoring application, info-vis application of US as was done at SC01
- 3D Visualization of NIMROD data (Sherwood only): independent of above demonstration
