Fusion Workshop

I have been talking on and off to various people about organizing a Fusion
Workshop. It seems that we could all benefit by a meeting where we could
have a few sessions devoted to the technologies related to our project and
then follow that by a brainstorming session. I think that having a few
prepared and focused talks at this point would allow us to get on the same
page faster than if we were to just learn as we go. The talks would be
specifically tailored to the interests of the collaboratory, covering
topics that are of current interest, and it would also probably make sense
to structure them so that they are also related to the tasks we want to
work on in the next year. For myself, I would like to learn more about
MDSplus and Akenti, and could either ask Globus experts in relevant areas
to give talks or get myself good prepping in them. I suspect others will
have similar wish lists.

David suggested that we might do it in Boston sometime in January. I would
think 1 day or at most 1 1/2 should be enough.

Please let me know what you think.
