  I am not sure what 'patch' you are referring to. Until we can run
globus applications on windows
we could take several different approaches:

1) wait
2) use a non windows underlying database for demonstration purposes
3) sslwrap the database communications and do all of the globus stuff on
a remote machine via the wrapped port.

I would not be very enthusiastic about choice 2 since the work would
just have to be repeated on the final platform in the end.
