At SuperComputing I discussed with Mary Anne and Ray
that our Quarterly Reports would be on the time schedule of
Oct - Dec
Jan - Mar
Apr - Jun
Jul - Sept
I requested this, and she agreed, since it fit with the quarterly
report schedule that we keep for the DIII-D National Fusion Facility.
Thus, when I am reminded for my DIII-D Quarterly Report I will also
be reminded to produce the Collabortory Report.
My organization for our quarterly reports will be as follows.
Each PI, or his/her designee
ANL Futures Lab - Stevens
ANL Distributed Systems Lab - Foster
C-Mod - Greenwald
DIII-D - Schissel
LBNL - Thompson
PCS - Finkelstein
PPPL - McCune
Utah - Johnson
will submit to me their summary of their work for the past quarter.
I will take all of the input and weave it together into a short
summary for Mary Anne. However, it is my intention to have as an
Appendix each individual labs report so that Mary Anne and Ray can see further
detail if she desires. Quarterly reports will be posted in the Workers
Section of our web site.
When you produce your quarterly report:
a) Be brief, using bullets is fine
b) Explain what was done
c) Explain why it was done - the benefit - to put the
report in some sort of context
d) Avoid references to future work - focus on what was accomplished
e) Since our reports will be on the web feel free to point
via hyperlinks to other supportive material.
f) I would expect each labs quarterly report to be on the
order of 1-2 pages.
For our first Quarterly Report (work through December)
a) Please have your input to me by January 9, 2002.
b) Report posted by Schissel for Mary Anne and Ray January 11, 2002.
